My feelings about Rob Zombie’s films are all over the map, but House of 1000 Corpses is easily my favorite. Prior to attending Halloween Horror Nights in 2019, I was too scared to watch horror films, but after braving 9 out of 10 houses (sorry Graveyard Games), I started to dip my toe into the vast pool of horror movies. House of 1,000 Corpses was one of the first I watched, and even though I had to close my eyes for large chunks of it, I enjoyed it. I’ve since watched it with my eyes open the whole time, and it’s a delight.
