I have accumulated so much art featuring imagery of the Grady sisters (not twins!) – I don’t know how it started, but now it’s a whole thing in my house. When I decided to make something to contribute to this collection, I knew I had to include the iconic Shining carpet print as well as some blood-splattered walls. I wasn’t sure how to go about splattering glass with blood, and then I came across this Bullseye “Mardi Gras” glass at Weisser Glass, which was perfect. It was also crazy expensive, so when it broke in places I didn’t want it to, I just went with it instead of re-cutting a new piece. I made sure the extra breaks were at least somewhat symmetrical!
